Midwest Fertilizer Corporation – the largest fertilizer manufacturing investment in the U.S. in more than 20 years and Indiana’s largest investment project lands in Southwest Indiana’s, Posey County.

The company will invest $2.4 billion, employ 140 high-wage permanent workers along with creating 2,500 construction jobs over a three-year period, and it is the largest economic development project announced for 2013 in the State of Indiana. The new plant will manufacture nitrogen-based fertilizers solely for the U.S. market and will locate near the sixth busiest inland water port in the nation, Ports of Indiana – Mt. Vernon.
