Southwest Indiana is a thriving community.  With over a billion dollars in business, housing and amenities to help attract new people to the area, we’re seeing opportunities like never before.

If you are a former Briggs and Stratton employee, we are sorry for your loss.  Believe us, we understand.  In 2010, Whirlpool Corporation closed its doors on what once was a major employer of the region with 10,000 workers.  But with Southwest Indiana’s diverse economy and strategic workforce development organizations, workers that desired new opportunities and a better future found them.

And we’d like to help you find a better opportunity, too.

The Economic Development Coalition would like to make an introduction to some of our major employers who are looking for employees with similar skill sets.  From plastics to metals to machinery, the field is wide open.
