In a February annual tradition, the community of New Harmony celebrates its founding as a utopian society. The celebration includes a pitch-in dinner and speaker in the town's quaint, nineteenth-century opera house.

Internationally acclaimed artists perform several times each year under the beautifully beamed ceiling of the granary’s second level, as part of this annual subscription concert series.

This September event is a fundraiser for one of the best-preserved Native American settlements in the country. Vendors, crafts, and demonstrations celebrate Native American traditions and heritage.

Every October 31, this kid-centered event includes treat stations, crafts, a themed tram ride, and other fun family activities.

Teams come from all over the region to participate in Dragons on the Ohio, a Chinese dragon boat race on the Ohio River. The race is held annually in conjunction with the Downtown Multicultural Festival, complete with food, dance, and arts exhibits from cultures around the world.

It’s what the Midwest is famous for: a county fair in July, complete with livestock barns, ribbon-winning exhibits of everything from pies to photography, tractor pulls, grandstand concerts, and carnival rides.
