The automotive sector in Indiana is getting hotter than the early summer temperatures as Honda is gearing up to hire an additional 1,000 workers for its Greensburg plant; and, the communities of Kokomo and Marion announced the formation of the Midwest Automotive Loop – a central Indiana supplier corridor. Not unlike the excitement experienced in Southwest Indiana when Toyota began the hiring process for its Princeton plant, the news should provide some much needed energy for Indiana’s very critical transportation sector.
We anticipate some positive movement as well in Southwest Indiana’s automotive sub sector as several automotive-related projects are considering our region for possible new investment. Stay tuned as project activity has been very strong.
