The Coalition was one of the key sponsors and the only sponsor from Indiana for the most important economic development site selector conference held in the nation. Orlando, Florida from January 22 to 24, 2012 played host to the 2012 Site Selectors Guild Conference whose speaker list read like the all-star roster of global site selection consultants. The Coalition joined other key sponsors for the conference from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas.
Professional site selectors represent nearly 10 percent of all global economic development projects during a year with many being high investment, high wage endeavors. And, several key companies located in Southwest Indiana such as Toyota used professional site selection firms; it is vital that Southwest Indiana is represented at the most influential conference.
As part of our on-going strategic marketing and communications strategy, the Coalition focuses on select conferences, domestic and foreign trade missions, target-sector direct marketing, social media and limited-placed advertisements to reach key markets. The 2012 Site Selectors Guild Conference was a great opportunity for sharing information about Southwest Indiana and building stronger business relationships with key site selectors.
