Highways in Southwest Indiana, the Evansville Region
There are six major highway systems providing access to and from the Evansville area.
- Interstate 64 provides east-west access to Louisville and St. Louis and Interstate connections to points in all directions.
- US 41 provides 4-lane north - south access to Chicago and south all the way to Miami, Florida. It connects to the Kentucky Parkway System and I-24, which serves Nashville and Atlanta.
- Interstate164 connects I-64 and Indiana 57 (proposed I-69 to Indianapolis) with US 41 south of Evansville
- Indiana 62 provides east-west access across southern Indiana.
- Indiana 66, a very scenic route, provides east-west access along the Ohio River.
- Indiana 57 provides access to the northeast and connections to Indianapolis.
- Interstate 69 the planned new central logistical highway will extend from Indianapolis to
Evansville and connect with several gateways to Mexico.
