Gibson County Economic Development Corporation provides in-kind contribution toward Stellar Communities Grant
March 22, 2012

Princeton, IN (March 22, 2012) – The Gibson County Economic Development Corporation has made a $400,000 in-kind contribution to the City of Princeton which will be credited toward the City of Princeton’s Stellar Cities Grant Application. GCEDC will be spending the funds remodeling the former DeMoss building which GCEDC purchased in 2009.

Princeton Businessman Invests Over $100,000 In Hudson Satellite Positioning

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana Expanding
February 9, 2012

Princeton, IN (February 9, 2012) – Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana announces an increase in production with a new investment of $400 million. TMMI will increase the production of their Highlander brand by manufacturing the hybrid version here in Gibson County. The current location of production for the Hybrid is in Tahara City, Japan. TMMI will exclusively produce the hybrid version of the Highlander. The new investment will increase production by 50,000 vehicles bringing the total Highlander production to 180,000 vehicles. The hybrid will be built for both the domestic and export markets.

Gibson County Coal Celebrates New Mine Opening

Princeton, IN (November 23, 2011) - Joe Craft, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Resource Partners, parent company of Gibson County Coal in Princeton and Owensville greeted seventy governmental, community and company leaders to their newest operation Gibson South. Alliance’s Owensville property is their second property in Gibson County with their Princeton operation, Gibson North their first which began production ten years ago.

Experience Tahara 2 Planned by GCEDC
September 4, 2011

Princeton, IN (September 4, 2011) - B. Todd Mosby, President/CEO of the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation announces a second Friendship City visit by Gibson County Students and teachers has been planned for 2012. Gibson County Economic Development Corporation will sponsor two students and one teacher from each of Gibson County’s three school corporations to visit Tahara City, Japan in June of 2012.

Southern Indiana Tire and Gibson County Economic Development Corporation Sign Agreement

Princeton, IN (August 16, 2011) – Southern Indiana Tire President, Paul Weaver, has signed an agreement with the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation, to promote a forty-four acre tract of land for industrial development. The forty-four acre site engulfs Weaver’s Southern Indiana Tire Warehouse location, north of Princeton, on Lyles Station Road.

Gibson County Economic Development Corporation Wins Award

Princeton, IN (January 5, 2011) – The Gibson County Economic Development Corporation was recently named a 2010 Award of Excellence winner in the Automotive Division by Expansion Solutions Magazine. 2010 is the fourth year Expansion Solutions has presented their “Top Five” Awards of Excellence. Gibson County Economic Development Corporation is one of five winners in the Automotive division.

Gibson County to Host Students and Advisors from Japan
August 3, 2010

Princeton, IN (August 3, 2010) – With Gibson County students and teachers fresh off of a visit to Japan in June, Gibson County will play host to thirteen students and three advisors from Tahara City in September. B. Todd Mosby, President of the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation said Gibson County’s Friendship City is becoming like family as they will be sending their students and advisors to Gibson County from Friday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 29.

Gibson County Delegation Bridges a Cultural Gap
June 23, 2010

Princeton, IN (June 23, 2010) – Seven Gibson County high school students and two teachers recently returned from Tahara City, Japan with a first-hand understanding of the Japanese culture. The “Experience Tahara 2010” educational delegation spent nine days living the Japanese lifestyle and attending school with host family students. The “Experience Tahara 2010” delegation was sponsored by the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation. GCEDC President and CEO B. Todd Mosby said, “Our Friendship City committee did an outstanding job planning this trip and selecting our delegation. Gibson County could have not asked for better representation.”

Windsor Machine Expands Gibson County, Indiana Location

Gibson County Delegation To Visit Tahara City Japan

Todd Mosby. The delegation will depart Monday, November 9, returning Friday, November 13.

Gibson County Economic Development Corporation Closes on Future Incubator Building
July 1, 2009

Princeton, IN (July 1, 2009) – The property was first granted to Henry Hopkins from the United States government in 1811; a new building was erected in 1894 by Joseph Devin after a fire destroyed the entire West side of the Princeton square; since then it has housed a drug store, a G.C. Murphy’s department store, a healthcare facility and now the 1894 Devin Block building will become a business incubator, computer lab and offices to its new owner, the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation.

Economic Development Corporation Promotes Mosby

Todd Mosby form Executive Director to President of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the corporation. Mosby helped develop the company in 2005 and 2006 before begin named to lead the corporation at its onset in January of 2007.

Toyota Supplier to Locate Manufacturing Operation in Southwest Indiana
October 28, 2008

Princeton, Ind. (October 28, 2008) – Automotive interior parts provider Vuteq USA announced plans today to expand its operations here, creating more than 50 new jobs over the next year.

The company, which currently assembles interior parts for nearby Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, will invest more than $24 million to build and equip a 130,000-square-foot interior parts manufacturing facility adjacent to its current assembly operation in the southwest Indiana city.

Gibson County Courthouse Receives Safety and Convenience Improvements
April 7, 2008

Princeton, IN (August 7, 2008) – The Gibson County Courthouse located in Princeton, Indiana is undergoing $21,036 worth of electrical and water related improvements. New water lines and electric lines are being installed oneach side of the courthouse grounds. The lines will run underground from the building to the sidewalks that encompass the courthouse square. When completed, electric and water will be available to those who use the courthouse for festivals, car shows, concerts and other events.

Governor Daniels Honors Gibson County Business with Award for Longevity
November 14, 2007

Indianapolis (November 14, 2007) – Gov. Mitch Daniels honored a Gibson County business for longevity and community service in the statehouse today during the annual Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards Ceremony.
The governor presented Hansen Corporation with a Century Award. Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Secretary of Commerce Nathan Feltman joined Daniels in honoring all of the Indiana companies for their commitment to Indiana.

Chamber of Commerce Unveils Economic Development Corporation

The Chamber’s economic development committee has been working to organize the new corporation since July of 2005.
