Strategic Framework
The strategic framework for Southwest Indiana’s future includes four primary areas of focus which will become the platform for future economic growth:
- Education and workforce development
Southwest Indiana’s existing and future workforce will have the skills and education levels necessary to succeed in the jobs of the future. - Healthcare
Improve the health status of Southwest Indiana residents to the national level or above in all areas of wellness during the next 20 years and improve residents’ access to quality care.
Support the expansion of the healthcare industry in Southwest Indiana. - Infrastructure
Maintain the existing infrastructure of Southwest Indiana and make significant improvements to support future growth demands of the region’s economy. - Quality of life
Create a vibrant regional economy based on an excellent quality of life.
Territory
The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana represents a four-county region, including Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties.

The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana operates in cooperation with the economic development entities of the four counties represented: Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties.
